Undergrowth

I know.
I know there’s a place that’s better than this.
But I can’t get back
And I’ve stayed
Stayed in the crosshairs
Of Good and Bad
And I know how that sounds
Don’t try to test me
I’ve lived here long enough
This aint a home, it’s just a house
I can’t lie with this type of stuff
There is a house full of trouble and pain
But I locked it all up for some time away
And across the road is where the joy stays
But now it’s too scared to come and play
But sometimes you hear it sing
And I’ve tried to take it
I’ve tried, I really have you know
But it’s too overgrown
Don’t try to test me
I know my way around
Not a home yet
Still just a house
But I’m getting used to the sound
And there’s ghosts
Living in the undergrowth
Down in the undergrowth
Living in the undergrowth
When does a house become home?
